Newable and Seraphim

Newable was one of the founders of Seraphim’s original fund back in 2006 before it spun out. Newable also invested in Seraphim Capital’s Space Fund last November. Seraphim recently closed the fund at $100m. The Fund’s mission is to invest in early stage space related technology businesses. As part of the programme, we collaborate with Seraphim delivering the Space Tech Angels programme. Last night saw the prestigious launch of the fund with around 150 VIPs attending.

Newable Events

Newable has an outstanding track record of delivering over 400 events a year as part of our contracts for the Department for International Trade, Innovate UK, and the Enterprise Europe Network.

However, to date the events and marketing teams has operated “in house” to deliver each of these programmes. Newable is now making this experienced resource available to additional clients, such as Seraphim. We have great ambitions for the Newable Events team to build on their existing events and marketing best practice to deliver some great results for clients.

How we helped Seraphim Capital

Newable worked in partnership with the team at Seraphim, driving the strategic planning and delivery of this high profile event.

One of the highlights of was the keynote presentation by Michael Jones (ex Google CTO) who originated the technology behind Google Earth.

With some creative planning, negotiating and unique approach to delivery of the event we were able to reduce event delivery costs by over 40%. Our insights into industry best practice ensured Seraphim Capital’s launch event was well attended with a 20% higher rate of attendance than anticipated by our client.

This success is further highlighted by our client’s Mark words on Newable’s work last night: “Newable did a first class job on all aspects of the event, the prep for the event was faultless and Luke’s management on the night made me feel like a guest rather than host”.

Our Events plan

Our ambition is to continue to improve the quality and commercial effectiveness of the events we deliver on behalf of our core and current customers. We will be supporting colleagues and business teams across the Newable landscape with their event programmes. In addition, we hope that the event last night is the first of many we will be delivering for our partners.
