Newable re-launches the Fuelling Ambition programme with six-part workshop series designed to support female entrepreneurs at every stage from inspiration to investment.
Entrepreneurs face many challenges in business life. These challenges are even greater for female entrepreneurs. With various barriers; including access to finance and reliable business advice networks.
2020 was even more difficult with the pandemic; Wired reports that unlike previous recessions, which affected men more severely, the economic fallout of Covid-19 has disproportionately affected women.*
Women were around a third more likely to work in a sector that was shut during lockdown. They are more likely to be furloughed and are 47 percent more likely to have lost or quit their job. And they have shouldered more childcare responsibilities and household work than men.
The Fuelling Ambition programme was designed to make a dent in these issues and help female entrepreneurs realise the commercial potential of their businesses.
What is the Breaking Barriers series?
Newable’s Breaking Barriers Series, part of the Fuelling Ambition Programme, is designed to help women entrepreneurs unleash their full potential, help get inspired, break-through roadblocks and fuel growth.
The six-stage workshop series, in partnership with Innovate UK EDGE and with support from JPMorgan Chase, offers free bespoke events.
